DAY 7 | VENTURA - LOS ANGELES 90 MILES
TUESDAY 10TH OCT
We can almost see and smell LA from here. What used to be one of the easiest days is now the hardest day as we decided to add some sweet (read: hard) climbs as we hang a left off the PCH and catch the start of the Mulholland Highway and head up into the hills of Malibu for about 30 miles. These are very beautiful but very tough climbs.
We will have a late lunch at the famous Peddlers Fork in Calabasas before heading back down the mountains to ride along the coast to Santa Monica. Once in LA we all regroup in Santa Monica and it’s a few pints before rolling once again en masse to the welcoming arms of our friends, family and sponsors at the finish party.
This is also our only guest riders day. In the years past we’ve had a great groups from 180/LA, Saatchi, Deutsch et al. join us with fresh legs, big smiles and clean jerseys.
No Hotel is booked on the final night.
We will be finishing at The Mill this year as they also celebrate 10 years in LA.
